A Spanish woman has been branded the ‘worst airline passenger ever’ after she went on a vodka-fuelled rampage on a flight packed with British tourists.
The woman started screaming and swigging from a hipflask almost as soon as she boarded the Lisbon-to-Malaga TAP flight, witnesses claim. She wanted to drink Pepsi but flight attendants told her only fruit juice was being served as a mid-flight drink.
A British tourist, 38, who caught the same plane after flying to Lisbon from Manchester, said he had ‘never seen anything like it’.
Her behavior was so rude that the captain banned her from the airline mid-flight and she was arrested as soon as they landed.
The witness, a fashion designer who lives in Manchester, said: ‘’She was getting out of her seat, her face was bright red.’’
‘’Her hands had turned into claws. She looked like a demon. She was the worst passenger I have ever seen on an airline and I fly quite a lot.’’
‘’The way she was acting – it was like she was possessed.’’
He flew from Manchester to Lisbon and then got a connecting flight to Malaga, where he was holidaying, on March 9.
He said: ‘’She was so p*****. She was sat near the fire exit and I was worried she was going to try and pull something. She was literally not in control of herself.’’
‘’I was speaking to passengers afterwards and the flight she was on before, she was p**** on that too.’’
‘’So for her to be on that second flight, she was putting everyone in danger.’’
The witness added: ‘’We were all like why is she so insistent on that, but it turned out it was because she wanted to mix it.’’
’’She was the last one to board, everyone was waiting and she was at the front of the plane.’’
’’I noticed her because when she was trying to get to her seat she fell backwards onto another passenger.’’
’’When we were lifting off she was kicking off about having to put her bag in the hold.’’
’’Stewardesses were telling her you have to put it away but she was like ‘no.’
‘’She started speaking English and said ‘I have my books, I have my jewelry, I have my money in there – I need my bag.’’
The passenger next to her had to move during the hour-long flight because he couldn’t bear the noise, he added.
Her fellow passenger said airlines should be much stricter about who they let on.
He went on: ‘’Because of all the security if it was me, they wouldn’t even let me anywhere near the plane because i am Asian and have a beard. Everyone just stares at you.’’
‘’But this lady was out of control, she was drunk, she was aggressive, she was abusive, she was chucking food, she wanted her bag, she wasn’t taking any notice of airline safety procedures and she just got let on.’’
‘’The captain came out, served her a note banning her from the airline and telling her she would be detained on arrival.’’
‘’She started screaming more. She was gibbering that her house was in Spain and that she was Spanish.’’
‘’’Passengers were getting involved and trying to calm her down. Even Ryanair are more strict than this airline.’’
‘’I was baffled. When I got a customer feedback form I sent it back straight away and I’ve had no reply.’’
