A man from South Carolina has been sentenced to 18 months in jail after he was found guilty of attacking police during a wave of protests that took place in the wake of George Floyd’s tragic death.
According to local media reports, prosecutors went about explaining how the man was guilty of hurling a burning t-shirt in the back of a moving police vehicle.
The authorities investigating the case spoke about how 26-year-old Abraham Jenkins used a fire extinguisher that was directly aimed at police officers while also throwing water bottles at one member of the police squad on duty, and also hurling a flaming hot t-shirt that had caught on fire through their vehicle’s broken window too.
And just in case that was not enough, he also went about damaging another state-owned police vehicle that was on standby during the violent riots.
