A source close to Keanu Reeves and Alexandra Grant has revealed why the two were able to become an item despite the 55-year-old actor’s distance from love life for decades.
The rumors that something’s going on between the two lovebirds were confirmed as Hollywood star Keanu Reeves was seen holding hands with who appears to be his first girlfriend in decades.
While the Matrix actor hasn’t been in a serious relationship for the last three decades, he appeared content as he took to the red carpet at Gucci’s LACMA Art + Film Gala in Los Angeles, California.
Keanu joined the event together with Alexandra Grant, a 46-year-old artist, whom he refused to let go of as they posed together for a series of photos as if they didn’t want to hide anything from the eyes of the public.
Previously, Keanu and Alexandra collaborated in the creation of Ode To Happiness and Shadows whereas the 55-year-old came up with the poetry part while Grant provided visual art. Together, they also manage a small publishing agency called X Artists’ Books.
As a source close to the couple revealed, Alexandra and Keanu make a perfect couple due to their “spiritual, sensitive and kind” nature.
The 46-year-old artist is allegedly one of a few people to get close enough to Keanu to get him to open up about his past tragedies including the death of Jennifer Syme, his ex-girlfriend.
“She’s one of the few people who’s managed to get Keanu to open up about his emotions and past,” a source said. “Some say she’s not only stolen his heart but she’s also saved him.”
The actor’s friend added: “He was in such a dark place for so long, but Alexandra’s positive outlook and support have played a huge part in helping him turn his life around.”
