A son was left gobsmacked after discovering piles of toilet paper that his father had stocked in his apartment during the 1980s.
As Sydney-based Michael Guirgis explained in his Facebook post, he came across dozens of packs of toilet paper while going through the storage room of his late father’s apartment.
“We are giving away free 1980s-1990s Petal vintage single ply toilet rolls to those in desperate need. No this is not a joke,” the man wrote in his post.
After announcing he was willing to share the toilet paper with those who really need it, Guirgis received plenty of messages from fellow Australians.
“I’m in a confused state right now – hundreds of people messaging me from this morning and last night,” the man said in an interview with Daily Mail Australia.
“I don’t know how to prioritize who to give them to. Obviously, the elderly and disadvantaged should be looked after first. I have a list of about ten places to go and deliver some this afternoon.”
As the son went on to say, he instantly knew he wanted to share the toilet paper with fellow residents because “a helping hand was always near” when his father was still alive.
According to Guirgis, he’s not going to charge anything for the toilet paper and he had already picked some ten locations to deliver the rolls to.
Following his act of kindness, the man was praised for being selfless during the crisis with plenty of people commending him for sharing the finding.
