Josh DeShong started his Real Estate career in 2006.
He first began to work as an individual agent and noticed that the job wasn’t done efficiently enough. He dug the reasons for missed opportunities to sell their listings and started to figure out why some homes weren’t sold.
His hard work has led him to become a real estate expert so quickly and by his second year in Real Estate, he had completed over 100 transactions.

He has become a respected real estate agent after 10 years and has always dreamt of buying his mother a house since he started to work as a real estate agent.
A year ago, he found the perfect house for his mother. However, the house needed some time for renovation. It took a year of renovating the house and when it was ready, he brought her to the house without telling her that it is her house.
Vickie Reynolds, Josh DeShong’s mother, has raised Josh as a single parent.
In the video below, he says that he was pretty troubled youth. “When everyone doubted me, and honestly she probably should have doubted me too, she never stopped being there for me,” Josh said.
When he got into Real Estate, he had a dream.

He said, “when I got in Real Estate over 10 years ago, everybody doubted me but she always, always believed in me.”
And he reveals the reason why he got into Real Estate, “I got into Real Estate with the intent to be able to provide for my family but also be able to give back. And today, I get to give her back something that I have been working for my entire career to be able to do.”
Josh wanted this present to be a total surprise. So, he didn’t tell his mother about the house for a year and worked on the renovation without telling her. When the house is ready, he brought his mom to the house telling her that it was a house for his business.
She liked the house so much that she looked around the house and she couldn’t close her mouth.

That’s when Josh revealed the secret. He told his mother that it is her house and her reaction is priceless!
