President Joe Biden was prompted to wipe his face during a Zoom meeting after he received a note from a staffer.
Biden was in a meeting with western governors to discuss the raging wildfires when the staffer passed him a note that read: ‘Sir, there is something on your chin.’
This alerted Biden there had been a yellow dot on his face for the first ten minutes of the Zoom meeting.
The president had ‘something’ on his chin while talking to governors when an aide handed him the notecard.
“The threat of western wildfires this year is as severe as it’s ever been,” the president said. “In short we have big complex wildfires burning across multiple areas.”
He also said of the firefighters: “It is really, really dangerous work.”
Biden asked the governors, including Minnesota’s Tim Walz, California’s Gavin Newsom, and Washington’s Jay Inslee for updates on the wildfires in their states.
The note from the staffer became visible when the president used the same paper to write down some notes during the meeting.
When he held the paper up to read his notes, photographers in the room managed to capture the warning.
Biden said that the firefighters need to be paid more as they were doing dangerous work, weeks after he announced that he would raise the minimum wage to $15 per hour.
It is not clear what was the yellow thing on his face.
One person commented: “Looks like he has egg on his face.”
Another wrote: “He wiped it off, looked at it and then put it in his mouth… seriously?”
A third added: “Soft boiled egg.”
