Soldier Acts as a Patient to Surprise His Doctor Wife After Traveling for 40 Hours


Long-distance relationships are the most difficult ones and it is the hardest to deal with them when you are living in two different countries.

Whenever we read a success story of especially a long-distance relationship, it fills our heart with the warmth of love and this is what this couple has for us.

Working as a Family Physician, Joshua Splinter is in a permanent place with the Texas Army National Guard. His job is not an easy one as he was deployed to Africa where he is stationed.

His wife works as a resident doctor in Texas and keeps herself drowned in work so that she does not miss her husband terribly. 

Staying away from each other for so long, Joshua decided that it is enough and he needs to go home to surprise his beloved wife.

He knew she had been working very hard and so he decided to travel all the way home which was 8,500 miles away. 

He received the news that he can finally go back home after 5 months of being in Africa so he packed his bags and jumped on to the flight to get back home without letting his wife know about it.

Alice, Joshua’s wife is a pediatrician and he knew she will be in her clinic. 

After a 40 hours long journey back to Texas in an army craft, he did not care if he was tired and went to her clinic. He went there and posed as a patient.

He made sure that this once in a lifetime moment is recorded on video so he asked one of her friends to help him with the surprise.

As soon as Alice entered the clinic, she was left stunned to see her husband sitting right in front of her who should have been in Africa. 

What an amazing surprise!
