An Italian man has taken some serious measures to keep himself away from coronavirus after it was classified as a global pandemic by the WHO (World Health Organization).
In a video shared by a Twitter user on Wednesday, this man was seen strolling the streets in Rome adorning a massive disc.
This was his attempt towards social distancing amidst the outbreak of coronavirus. After Wuhan, China, Italy sees the second-highest cases of COVID-19. Overall there have been more than 12,462 confirmed cases along with around 827 deaths.
A social media user saw this man and immediately captured this hysteric sight of this giant disc man strolling the Testaccio market.
This disc was doing a pretty good job of protecting him from fellow shoppers. He paired the giant disc with a tool that is used to pick-up litter,
When the user asked him why you are distancing yourself like this, the Italian man replied because of the coronavirus. The man who captured this Italian man said that the idea was both hysteric and genius.
With regard to coronavirus, the condition of Italy is quite grave, and the country has imposed a travel lockdown for its population.
European countries are presently seeing the highest death rate due to coronavirus in the world. Italy, in a desperate attempt to stop the spread of COVID-19, has enforced a countrywide shutdown.
Moreover, the World Health Organization advised social distancing for at least one meter from people who are sneezing or coughing.
This is because even the tiny droplet could contain the virus. WHO also encourages people to stay at home if they are not feeling well. Elderly people are especially advised to stay at home because they are the most vulnerable to this infection
