A Single Mother Couldn’t Afford to Buy Shoes for Her 13 Years Old But Then Receives Several Pairs After She Turned to Social Media for Help


Being a single mother is a major difficult task in itself and the second one becomes to be the mother of a young boy.

Making money, looking after her home, paying bills, taking care of the child and everything comes down to the mother who is managing it all alone. It was the same dilemma Brittany Keith was living with.

Her 13 years old son was too big according to his age and thus rather than wearing a normal shoe size, the boy could only fit in size 18.

Yes, it is a very large size for a young kid and is generally hard to find. So she had to look and look for the size in various shops but when she finally found the size, the price of the shoes was way more than she could afford.

That is when she came to social media to ask for help because her son really needed the shoes.  She wrote that she would really appreciate if someone could help her.

Well, it must be a good day for her because her post reached Shaquille O’Neal, the basketball star who has the same problem.

Shaquille O’Neal decided to surprise the boy and reached to Friedman’s Shoes in Atlanta, Georgia. This is also O’Neal’s favorite shoe store. They then clicked pictures, exchanged phone numbers and the boy surely got a lot of shoes.

O’Neal shared a picture of them in the store where he wrote that the boy and his mother could not afford to buy shoes in the size 18. He wrote that it reminded him of his childhood because he always wore a great size too and right now he wears the size 23.

The 13 years old boy did receive a lot of things along with the shoes and the best was meeting with the basketball superstar.
