America’s Got Talent is in its thirteenth season, the auditions have already begun.
If you regularly follow the show then you know how impressive the contestants are and don’t forget the judges, they are incredible too.
We have seen many episodes previously that saw judges making promises to the contestants and then fulfilling it. It happened this time too, but the promise made by one judge was unusual.

It was the auditions for the AGT’s 13th season. 13-year-old Jeffery Lin has made his way to the stage. He was presumed to be a nervous Nelly, but it changed when he took the auditions by storm.
Before Jeffery’s performance, everyone thought that he is like most of the contestants, he can’t do much. When Heidi Klum quizzed the boy, he nervously admitted that it is the first time he is performing in front of such a big crowd.
The next question Heidi Klum asked Jeffery was what he would do with 1 million dollars. To everybody’s surprise, Jeffery paused for a moment and gave the most heartwarming and honest response. He said he wants a dog because there is no one to play with as he is the only child to his parents and is in dire need of a companion.
It was Simon’s turn to question Jeffery. He asked about his performance. Jeffery answering to Simon said that he would be performing to ‘You Raise Me Up’ sung by Josh Gordon.
When asked why he chose the song, he replied that this is the song he sings whenever he needs a mood upliftment.
Now we all know that Simon is the most difficult man to please. He knew that the song the kid chose has some high pitches and not everyone can sing it the way it is meant to be.
This is where Simon Cowell, the most-hard-to-please-judge promised Jeffery that he would buy him a dog if he wows the judges as well as the audience.
Followed by that was Jeffery’s unbelievable performance. He swept the stage in real, the audience and the goddamn judges were on their feet applauding Jeffery for his performance – how many have you seen the judges and the audience giving a standing ovation to the contestant? Not many.
Jeffery is surely a mysterious kid; his appearance said something different about him and what he delivered said something about him.
Well, now it is Simon’s turn to keep up with the promise he made to the little guy.
