Two children who went missing from their home on Sunday from Jacksonville, Florida were found safe and well.
The brother and sister Braxton and Bri’ya Williams were last seen around 11:30 am on Sunday.
The siblings were found in a wooded area, which is 400 meters away from their home’s location, reported by Mike Williams, the sheriff. When the family could not find the siblings, an Amber alert was issued.
The multi-agency search took place, which included the fire department, local police, and the private entities.
According to the reports of one member of the search team, he heard the voice of a child near the wooded area. The voice allowed him to reach an old dilapidated pump where he found both the siblings taking shelter.
The local sheriff told the news that both the kids were lively and talkative and kept asking for a cheese pizza.
Once the children were found, they were taken to the hospital for a health examination. The doctors of the hospital said that the children were dehydrated, apart from that they were healthy.
The mayor of Jacksonville, Lenny Curry expressed his loved and was overjoyed as the children were found safe and sound. He thanked the search team and dubbed this as a “Christmas miracle” and showered blessings and prayers for the family.
Since the children are now found and are in good hands, it is still standing as a mystery to how they survived for two days.
The police have called in the parents for questioning since the neighbors have claimed they were at home. The police provided information on the parents claiming that were at home but they did not know where the kids might be.
With the help of the search team and dedication towards the work have allowed the kids to be back home.
