The coronavirus pandemic has forced us to reassess how we live our daily lives.

Of course, a lot of the changes have not necessarily been voluntary, such as enforced lockdowns and “shelter in place” regulations.

While introverts are not going to have as much of a hard time as extroverts in isolating themselves from other people, there are those who manage to get cabin fever and start doing some unusual and crazy stuff just to break the monotony of having to stay home.

One of these was a shopper who was seen in Asda while stocking up on Coca-Cola. That actually wasn’t the weird part. What caught the attention of other shoppers was the fact that the person was wearing a Stormtrooper helmet.

Mark Mattocks was at the supermarket in Sittingbourne, Kent, earlier in the week when he came upon the bizarre sight.

The 35-year-old said: “I was strolling past the aisle with my girlfriend and we were both chatting about how empty the shelves were.

“We both glanced along and carried on walking then froze and both said ‘did you just see that?’

“I was totally stunned at how casually this lady was shopping with that on her head. It looked like she was stockpiling bottles of Coke.”

But if you thought this was out of this world (as in, a galaxy far, far away…), then you haven’t heard about a person in Spain who tried to sneak out of his house wearing a T. Rex suit.

A police force spokesperson wrote on Twitter: “In alarm, pets are allowed to walk accompanied by a person, always with short walks to relieve themselves. Having a Tyrannosaurus Rex complex is not covered.”

The incident happened in Murcia in southeastern Spain which is currently under lockdown. Police were seen approaching the costumed pedestrian to tell him he wasn’t allowed outside.
