Shopify has removed President Donald Trump’s merchandise websites, which offer his campaign items, from its platform.

As the e-commerce giant insisted, Trump has violated their policies with his actions, prompting the company officials to ditch the websites selling the President’s campaign items, such as MAGA hats and shirts, from their platform.

The affected merchandise websites that were hosted on Spotify include shop.donaldjtrump.com and trumpstore.com, whereas Shopify users will now have a harder time getting their hands on Trump’s products.

“Based on recent events, we have determined that the actions by President Donald J. Trump violate our Acceptable Use Policy, which prohibits promotion or support of organizations, platforms or people that threaten or condone violence to further a cause,” the company said in a statement.

Spotify’s move follows shortly after major social media networks, including Facebook and Twitter, temporarily blocked Trump’s accounts.

As Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg explained, Trump’s FB and Instagram accounts would remain blocked for “at least the next two weeks until the peaceful transition of power is complete.”

“The shocking events of the last 24 hours clearly demonstrate that President Donald Trump intends to use his remaining time in office to undermine the peaceful and lawful transition of power to his elected successor, Joe Biden,” Zuckerberg said in a statement.

“His decision to use his platform to condone rather than condemn the actions of his supporters at the Capitol building has rightly disturbed people in the US and around the world.

“We removed these statements yesterday because we judged that their effect — and likely their intent — would be to provoke further violence.”
