The bizarre incident was caught on camera by Andrew Thomas from Wales, the UK, as he was out shopping for supplies.

As seen in Thomas’ photo, the flock of sheep appears to be hanging out in front of the closed outlet, much to the amusement of internet users who made the picture go viral.

“I was shopping for my mother and elderly neighbor at Aldi, next door, when I saw the sheep,” Mr. Thomas said.

“Thought I’d share, as everyone on social media has been saying how they are craving a McDonald’s. So I made a joke of it and it seems to have gone viral.”

With the lockdown in place and people in their homes, residents across the country have been spotting unusual numbers of animals strolling around otherwise busy areas.

Previously, herds of deer have been spotted in several areas of London. With no one to stop them or scare them away, the deer are believed to have walked into Harold Hill from a nearby park.

While the animals, which have lived in the region for over one thousand years, have previously been spotted in the area, the locals believe they are now present more than ever due to reduced human activity.

As seen in photos, herds of deer have taken over the local lawns and estates, whereas some people have decided to approach and feed them.

“I came across them just lying around,” 50-year-old inspector Dean Zetter said of the herd of deer he spotted while working.

“Residents, some with their dogs, just left them alone, and the dogs didn’t bark or startle them. It was a beautiful start to the day.

“This was the first time I had seen them, but seen them twice now. Apparently they are quite common – but there were around fifteen to twenty. They just continued lying there chewing the grass. I think it’s because it’s quieter.”
