A security worker messed up big time when he accidentally sprayed hand sanitizer in a little girl’s face.
The bizarre incident went viral after the video showing the act was shared on TikTok by @anakarma who explained that the employee sprayed the girl with hand disinfectant after mistaking the bottle he was holding in his left hand with the thermometer he had in his right hand.
In the footage, the little girl is seen approaching the man together with her mother. As the child lifts her beanie to make it easier for the worker to measure her temperature, the man raises his left arm and sprays her in the face with hand sanitizer. He then quickly raises his other hand only to realize the terrible mistake he had done.
After the incident, the mother tended to her daughter while peering at the security worker. According to the person who uploaded the video on social media, the little girl was okay after the mishap.
As @anakarma also revealed, it was allegedly the worker’s first day on the job when he mixed up hand sanitizer with the thermometer. It is not clear whether it was also his last.
After the video went viral and racked up millions of views, some people found the incident funny whereas others criticized the worker for not taking enough precautions.
“Ohmygod, that must be so painful – how can you mistake that for a thermometer?” one viewer wrote.
“I’m laughing so hard but at the same time I feel so bad for the kid, oh my,” another one added.
