Watch the sea hares moving slowly in the ocean

The most bizarre looking creatures in the Pacific Ocean are sea hares as they look like a large chunk of sponge.
But, if you look closely, you will see them move slowly over the coral and feeding on red algae. You will also see them extending their bodies to move along and their heads move slowly back and forth.
In this video, these divers spotted these creatures while they were on a night dive over a coral reef in Kimbe Bay, Papua New Guinea.
They filmed the unusual creatures as they had never seen anything like this before. Later, they shared the video online which instantly went viral after it was posted online.
Another video of sea hares shows them moving slowly. One user commented on the video: ‘I got to touch one of these little dudes at the San Diego Aquarium a few years back; its skin felt just like wet silk. Surprisingly not as slimy as I expected! Cute little weirdos…’.
Another user said: ‘Found one washed up on the beach one night after the montecito mud slides..saw it in Santa Barbara 3 or 4 days after slide but it seemed pretty sick due to a black water event :( I put him back in water but he kept washing back up’.
The third one said: ‘I hate these critters, caught one in a net and put ink onto the whole boat!’
The sea hares can reach a weight of fifteen pounds (7kg) and 30 inches (2.5 feet). They can release 500 million eggs when reproducing. They live only one year but the chances for them of living for more than a year are greater in cooler climates.
