She has tried to maintain the budget as the budgeting policy of government also affects schools and then they cut off activities such as paintings and it becomes difficult to manage buildings. But Emily pays special attention to school by reviewing what needs to be upgraded.

When students were on their vacations Emily renovated the staff room and kitchen and says that it was difficult to do this because everything was old and shabby. She tried her best to even place new cheap tiles and taps. It became more difficult when nobody helped her and she could not afford a tradesman.

They used to spend 7,000 pounds on meals and then Emily became the catering manager she involved children and they planned some cheap healthy meals. They decided on the menu and went on local products such as local catering companies and local butcher. Now they have been able to save 2,000 pounds.

She had to do odd jobs to maintain the budget such as building cabins and construction jobs. She has completed a few projects to renovate the school and parents also volunteer them in renovations. The profit which comes back they use it for school and most of the parents do teaching assistant jobs.

Parents regard Emily as a superhero and appreciate what she is doing and they are hopeful that the school will flourish one day.
