Facebook group called Frogspotting is a place where people who love frogs can go to discuss frogs, toads, amphibians, and reptiles.
We often think that few people like frogs. But, frogs are much more popular than you might imagine, and this incredibly active group has more than 63,000 members sharing, discussing, laughing and arguing about all things amphibian. Who knew froggy fetishes were so common?
A group member, Savannah Mikell, recently started posting pictures on the forum of her special little toad friend, Toby.
23-year-old Savannah has seemingly allowed Toby to move into to her dollhouse and the pics of him chilling on the bed, playing the piano and sitting down for a nice meal are just melting everyone’s hearts.
“It’s a dollhouse that was made for me when I was 6,” she told Bored Panda. It was made by my aunt who is a professional doll house builder.”
Toby has settled into his bachelor pad, but he’s more of a free spirit who comes and goes as he pleases.
“Toby lives on my front porch, he likes to hide behind a flower pot,” Savannah explained. “I’ve seen him for a few months but I always have toads on my front porch. He likes to show up when it rains.”
People loved asking about Toby and how happy he seems to go along with the fun.
“He’s very chill, he doesn’t mind being held and sometimes I feed him bugs so he knows I’m gonna feed him when I see him.”
Savannah began uploading the pics on Frogspotting recently with simple, funny captions describing exactly what Toby is. Everyone was immediately taken by them and piled on in with the witty comments.
According to WikiHow, wild toads don’t make great long-term pets, but they are “relatively cheap to care for and can be fun to look after for a while.” So, before adopting them make sure it’s legal in your area, and enjoy.
