If you can remember a time when people in the neighborhood would share one television set because it was so rare or recall those times one had to fiddle with the antenna because the signal was weak, then your age is obviously showing. But the fact that you are still alive to witness the leaps and bounds that television technology has made just highlights the warp-like speed that the technology has managed to evolve.

And now Korean tech giant Samsung has managed to push the boundaries even further with their recently launched 219-inch TV that they dubbed “The Wall.” And for something that size, a whole wall is definitely what you’ll need to mount it.

Samsung pulled the big reveal at the CES technology expo in Las Vegas, an event that saw tech companies showing off their latest inventions and innovations.

But size isn’t the only thing impressive about The Wall. If you were wondering if image quality was sacrificed in order to achieve that size, there’s nothing to worry about. According to AnandTech, the resolution is better than 4K thanks to the use of Micro LEDs.

In a statement, Samsung said: “These transformative TV displays are made up of individual modules of self-emissive Micro LEDs, featuring millions of inorganic red, green and blue microscopic LED chips that emit their own light to produce brilliant colors on screen.

“The Wall 2019 takes personalization to the next level, with modular panels that consumers can position in any size or shape to meet their needs.

“These next-generation modular Micro LED displays harness self-emitting technology to create elegant, efficient and powerful screens that are liberated from the limitations of existing technologies.”

Imagine binging on Netflix or playing Call of Duty on such a beast. Definitely a centerpiece worthy of your living room or man-cave. In fact, it’s probably big enough to not need glasses to watch on it.

The Wall is actually the second iteration of the company’s big screen TV offerings. At last year’s CES, The Wall 1.0 was still an impressive 146 inches in size.

But if both The Wall 1.0 and 2.0 are too big for you or won’t fit in your house, don’t worry. Samsung has you covered, too. At the same conference, they also revealed a humbler 75-inch version dubbed “The Window.”

Although there is no word yet on how much these super-sized TVs will set you back for, it’s expected that they’re still going to cost a pretty penny.
