“You never know what’s gonna happen,” Merrill, Michigan-based Welke said in her video, claiming that the satellite fell from the sky around 8:45 am.

“This baby fell out of the sky and landed in our yard. It’s never boring on the Welke farm. Thank god there’s no horses out and it didn’t hit the house. And it’s still going and flashing.”

While the satellite landed in the family’s backyard, the balloon carrying it got trapped in live power lines, causing a fire hazard and resulting in locals being left without electricity for hours.
