A cute puppy with a mustache has taken over the internet and captured the hearts of thousands thanks to his unique looks that remind people of Spanish painter Salvador Dali.
True to his name, Salvador Dolly is a unique pup with hair colored in the way it makes it look as if the dog had a mustache.
According to her rescuers, Dolly currently lives in New York with her foster parents and has 10 brothers and sisters.
“It’s puppy season in Dallas right now and there are always multiple moms with litters at the shelter. Dallas Animal Services, a shelter with the 3rd highest number of animal intakes in the entire country … took in mama and her 11 babies as strays and cared for them for 2 weeks, but puppies are at a very high risk of getting sick in the shelter environment, so we knew we had to get them out,” Allison Seelig of the Hearts & Bones Rescue said in an interview with Bored Panda.
Thanks to the hardworking rescuers, Dolly’s entire family of 12 was able to find a foster family to enhance their chances of survival.
“The whole family is now relaxing in a comfy and safe home and getting medical care and monitoring until the puppies are old enough to be weaned,” Ms. Seelig added.
As Allison explained, the pups are still just weeks old and require proper nursing and care. When they get older, they will be moved to NYC and given a forever home.
“The puppies are all so unique looking and adorable, and while we are overwhelmed with applications for Dolly right now, her siblings are still looking for homes in the NYC area! We also need foster homes in NYC ready to take them in when they arrive,” Allison explained.
“Caring for a family of 12 is very costly, so donations would be a huge help to us right now,” she added, encouraging Good Samaritans to donate to help the organization pay for the expenses.
