Recent reports coming out from the United Kingdom have gone on to confirm how the Salt Bae restaurant is seeking to hire a new steak chef. But they’re only willing to pay $16 per hour while charging a whopping $1975 per steak.
The famous Nusret Gokce is known to be in the news but this around, it’s for all the wrong reasons as many termed this behavior as highly offensive and truly money-minded.
Keeping in mind his pricey menu and the luxe theme that the restaurant portrays around the globe, this is definitely not something that many people saw coming from miles.
On average, the famous Golden Giant Tomahawk sells for nearly $1975 but to pay the chef making it just $16 per hour has left a bad taste in many diners and culinary experts’ mouths.
The advertisement for the post of ‘Chef de Partie’ went viral where it boldly mentioned how it would be giving the stationed chef a measly sum of money as financial compression to cook finger-licking culinary delights.
Moreover, many went on to argue how that wage was nearly equivalent to the side of mashed potatoes or sweet corn that come as side dishes with the main steak meal.
The job’s ad was recently posted on the website caterer.com but what really had many people’s minds blown is how it came with the tagline, ‘highly competitive salary’- yikes!
In addition to that, the ad boasts of being an amazing opportunity for the chef to work at one of the world’s leading and established eateries, joining head chef and owner Nusret and his team.
