A beauty salon has come under fire after banning face masks and Covid talk from its premises and branding the pandemic “bullsh**.
”
As Skin Kerr Aesthetics, Hair and Beauty, a salon located in Merseyside, UK, announced with the help of a giant poster, Covid talk and face masks would be banned from their place.
“Covid Free Salon; No Masks; We Take Cash; Covid Talk is Banned; You Can’t Catch What Doesn’t Exist,” the business poster read.
Under the list of rules, the salon has also shared two hashtags including #voodoovirusisbullsh** and #wedonotconsent.
“Please respect the rules of the salon,” the message on the poster concluded.
After photos of the controversial poster went viral, social media users were quick to slam the salon for promoting the violation of coronavirus measures and insisting that the pandemic isn’t real.
“Can we do something about this irresponsible business owner – @skinkerr clinic please?” one person wrote as they tagged the local police in their tweet.
“Getting your hair or nails done in Liverpool? Here’s one to AVOID. Nice one guys! Doing a great job at flushing your biz down the toilet!” another one suggested.
Following the backlash, the manager of the salon refused to comment on the controversial poster. As she insisted, however, she has been facing threats from angry people.
According to the current regulations, all salon staff, as well as visitors, are required to wear face coverings in a bid to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
After the photos of the salon’s poster went viral, Merseyside Police informed MailOnline that they would be stopping by at the salon to make sure the owner and the staff are conducting business in accordance with the current rules and regulations.
