Harry Potter’s Rupert Grint And Girlfriend Georgia Groome Welcomed Their First Child


Actor Rupert Grint and his girlfriend of nine years, Georgia Groome, who starred in Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging, have welcomed their first child into their family.

28-year-old Georgia and her 31-year-old partner Rupert, who is best known for his role as Ron Weasley in the Harry Potter franchise, revealed they got a baby girl shortly after confirming that they were indeed pregnant back in April.

“Rupert Grint and Georgia Groome are delighted to confirm the birth of their baby girl. We would please ask that you respect their privacy at this very special time,” the couple’s representative allegedly said in a statement to The Mirror.

As of this writing, the couple has yet to reveal the name they chose for their baby girl.

Previously, in April, the Harry Potter star’s representative confirmed the couple’s pregnancy in a statement to MailOnline after Georgia was pictured with a noticeable baby bump.

“Rupert Grint and Georgia Groome are excited to announce they are expecting a baby and would please ask for privacy at this time,” the representative told MailOnline at the time.

According to the reports, Georgia and Rupert have been an item since 2011.

Previously, in 2018, the Harry Potter actor opened up about his plans for the future and revealed he’d “like to settle down and have kids.”

“Turning 30 felt strange. It just doesn’t feel like I’m there yet and I don’t know what the future holds. I’m just going to go with the flow, keep playing interesting characters and see what happens,” Rupert said in an interview with The Guardian.

“I’d like to settle down and have kids soon. If I had a son, would I call him Ron? It’s quite a good name, but probably not. And Grint’s a tough name to pair a one-syllable first name with.”
