Reports have claimed that royal staff nicknamed Prince Harry “the Hostage” before he tied the knot with Meghan Markle due to her seemingly growing demands.

According to Telegraph, sources said that the former actress was “constantly looking” for drama even though the Palace workers did their best for the 2018 royal wedding.

The Duke of Sussex reportedly said at that time: “What Meghan wants, Meghan gets,” and that’s when the fallout went out of control.

Prince Harry reportedly clashed with royal dresser Angela Kelly when the tiara Meghan had wanted to wear for the lavish wedding couldn’t be produced for an unscheduled hair appointment.

“He was furious and shouted: ‘What Meghan wants, Meghan gets.’ Suffice to say it didn’t go down too well,” a source told the Telegraph.

Insiders claimed that staff were happy to accommodate Meghan’s needs to please the duke. Meghan was even given her choice of the Crown Jewels to wear for the ceremony but still seemed to be unhappy.

“They insisted that they had the same inflation-adjusted budget for the wedding as William and Kate – she got the choir she wanted, the dress, the carriage procession, the tiara – she got everything she wanted but it still wasn’t enough,” the source said.

“She was constantly looking for reasons to say she had been deprived. Also, she wanted drama from the very beginning.”

One aide told the news publication: “Everyone wanted her to be happy because they knew that would make him happy. Do whatever it takes to make it work for Meghan was the mantra. We all cared deeply about Harry.

“Contrary to this idea that they weren’t supported, we were going to great lengths to accommodate their needs.”
