The Festival of Remembrance took place on Saturday evening at the Royal Albert Hall. The Majesty herself wore no less than five poppies which were fastened on a large brooch.

According to one theory, the Queen wears three poppies to represent the Navy, the Army, and Air Force as well as two additional poppies that stand for the Civil Defense and the women.

Unlike her majesty, the Duchess of Cambridge limited herself to three poppies which she fastened on her right side as opposed to the traditional position on the left, closer to the heart. As the experts suggested, she probably did so due to the design of the dress she wore which featured a cut on the left side.

Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex appeared in an elegant black sparkling coat and made do with a single modest poppy enamel pin while the Duchess of Cornwall wore Royal British Legion-issued Women of the First World War Brooch.

As for the male part of the royal family, Princes Charles, William, and Harry adorned their military medals with a single paper poppy.

The annual Festival that commemorates the victims of the deadly war included performances from Sir Bryn Terfel, Sir Tom Jones, and Sheridan Smith.

RAISED EYEBROWS

Loyal fans of Harry and Meghan couldn’t help feeling upset to find that the couple was placed in the ‘cheap’ seats during their attendance at the Festival. To everyone’s surprise, they were seated far away from the front row at the back of the royal box.
