Roy of Roy and Siegfried Las Vegas Act Passes Away Due To Coronavirus


Roy Horn of the Roy and Siegfried act, a regular in Las Vegas’ most well-known household resident shows, has passed away on Friday due to complications caused by the coronavirus, according to the act’s publicist.

The 75-year-old was one of the biggest name in the local show business, with their origins coming in from their magic and animal performance in Europe. Their act has spanned four decades and has been one of the most well-publicized cultural icons regarding their usages in pop culture. The act did come to a halt on 2003, when Roy Horn was severely mauled by the Tiger Mantecore, effectively severing the Horn’s spinal area. He did manage to rehabilitate and get back to his feet to walk, but his resilience did not lead up to him appearing on the open stage again, as he retired from the show biz entirely in 2010.

“Today, the world has lost one of the greats of magic, but I have lost my best friend,” His companion Siegfried Fischbacher said. “From the moment we met, I knew Roy and I, together, would change the world. There could be no Siegfried without Roy, and no Roy without Siegfried.”

Regarding the tiger that ended Roy’s career back in the early 2000s, Mantecore was a white tiger who have co-starred with Siegfried and Roy’s act, and he has also passed away on 2014, as his age was 17, one normal life span for a large cat family.point 327 |

The tiger kept living in the lair provided by the duo’s Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat at the Mirage Hotel Las Vegas.point 105 | Back in 2003, one audience who have witnessed his mauling of his owner as thus:”He (Horn) looked like a rag doll in his mouth.point 214 |

It is eventful to note that four days after the attack, Roy’s partner Fischbacher came on CNN’s “Larry King Live” to defend the tiger.point 138 | “Listen, I say it was an accident,” he said, adding that if Mantecore wanted to kill his partner “it would (have happened) in no time.point 266 |
