Authorities did not say whether a weapon was used or how the 81-year-old died but Amador County Undersheriff Gary Redman said that his death was “being investigated as a homicide.”

40-year-old Budrow was transferred to an administrative segregation unit. He hasn’t been charged in connection with Kibbe’s death.

According to reports, Frackenpoh was murdered after she disappeared from a West Sacramento street. Her body was discovered in the mountains near Lake Tahoe in 1987.

In 2008, Kibbe pleaded guilty to murder counts with special enhancements of kidnapping and rape stemming from the killings of Katherine Kelly Quinones, Barbara Ann Scott, Charmaine Sabrah, Stephanie Brown, Lora Heedrick, and Lou Ellen Burleigh.

Another wrote: “Hmm… 81 yrs old? He lived a lot longer than those young girls he snuffed. He can sort it out with the boatman as he crosses the River Styx.”
