“I thought it would be good to be just fed to the lions at London Zoo.

“That would be useful, isn’t it? We never give anything back. We take everything from this world… everything we do is for us, we’re not even food for other things… At least then I could give something back,” the comedian said during his appearance on the talk show Conan.

“I’d like the look on the tourists’ faces when they throw this dead, fat, naked, 73-year-old, maybe, if I’m lucky, to the lions, and as it lands some people go, ‘Is that the bloke from ‘The Office?’”

The After Life star also opened up about inevitable death as he insisted he doesn’t “care about being dead” but hopes he can avoid dying in an “embarrassing” way.

“I’m resigned to it. We’re all going to die. I don’t care about being dead because I won’t know about it,” Gervais added.

“I don’t want to die alone or in agony and I don’t want to die an embarrassing death.”

As the 59-year-old actor and producer also admitted, he likes joking about death because it is still a taboo subject that “makes people feel uncomfortable.”

“Comedians are drawn to death as it is the last taboo and makes people feel uncomfortable,” he added. “I like taking people to the dark side, it’s like taking them through a scary forest. No harm can come from going through taboo subjects.”
