To spread a little comic relief to people who may be feeling a bit antsy because of the lockdown, Ricky Hatton decided to share with fans what’s going with his own self-isolation.
While he was trying to go for some humor, his viewers instead focused on a more, er, adult display on the TV in the background.
As he swung the camera around his room and encouraged his fans to “find things to fill your time with,” a scantily-clad woman on the TV screen behind him was on full display. It doesn’t take a leap of imagination to guess how Hatton was filling his time.
Uploading the video on Instagram with just four hashtags (#keepositive #keepbusy #keepsmiling #getupthereboy) but no caption, he said in the brief clip: “Hi everyone, Ricky ‘The Hitman’ Hatton here. Been in isolation now seven days, and it really is hard work isn’t it?
“But what you gotta do, you just gotta keep positive and keep yourself busy – you know, find things to fill your time with.”
That’s when he started to pan the camera around with the obvious display on the TV seen in the background.
“Keep knuckling down to it and things will come out good,” he added, signing off saying: “All the best everyone!”
The comments made it clear that fans “got it” as crying-with-laughter emojis filled the comments section.
One person commented: “What channels on the telly Ricky?”
Another said: “Wondered why everyone was laughing had to watch it again.”
With nowhere else to go, people have been taking to social media to document how they’ve been spending their time on lockdown.
Singer Pink went so far as to give herself a haircut. In the Instagram video, Pink, whose real name is Alecia Beth Moore, said: “Okay, listen. This is my PSA. I’m walking in my house and getting ready to vacuum and take a shower and I’m eating pretzels. I don’t know how much you guys have been drinking during this whole quarantine thing, but I’ve decided to make it a sport.
“And I wanted to share something that I did last night. When I drink, I get really, really brilliant ideas, and last night I got an idea: I can cut hair! I can totally cut hair. Why have I been paying people this whole time? Look what I did.”
The 40-year-old star then turns the other side of her head to the camera to reveal a big bare patch. Oops.
