Rich Entrepreneur Who Said Being Homeless Is A Choice Spent Three Days On The Street

A self-made entrepreneur who earns on average $13,000 per day and believes that being homeless is a choice has decided to experience life on the streets for three days in order to prove that he can do better than an average homeless person.

Convinced that homeless people are “weak and lazy,” Kieren decided to leave his girlfriend Jess and his lavish lifestyle behind and join those living on the streets for three days as a part of the show called Rich Kids Go Homeless.

Equipped with nothing but a sleeping bag and some warm clothes, the rich kid was positive he could get off being homeless much better than an average homeless person.

“I think the homeless are weak and lazy,” Kieren said. “You’re already at rock bottom, it can’t get any worse, it can only get better.”

While his spirit was at the maximum when he entered the show, Kieren was soon faced with a harsh reality as he wasn’t able to raise enough money to rent a hostel bed and had to sleep on the street.

The rich kid initially planned to save enough money to buy several umbrellas and then resell them for more. After collecting no more than $7, however, he was forced to sleep on the ground near Charing Cross Station.

“It’s hard, having to beg for hours for only five quid when I’m used to making that in seconds,” the 23-year-old admitted.

The following day, he pursued his plan once more only to realize that umbrellas are too expensive and that he wouldn’t be able to gather enough money to make a significant profit.

“Sometimes things fail,” he added after resorting to begging once again. “Being an entrepreneur, you have to find a plan B.”

And so, Kieren got his hands on cardboard and managed to collect $50 in just six hours. After trying to book a night at a hostel, however, he was once again forced to sleep outside because they were already full.

To make his situation even worse, Kieren was confronted by another homeless man who threatened to stab him because he was on ‘his’ patch of the land.

Following this incident, Kieren said he would rather be in jail than on the street, saying that at least there would be security around him.

“There are no words to explain how bad these streets are,” he said. “I’ll stop taking everything for granted.”
