Restaurant Fined $90,000 For Giving Women And Men Different Menus

Whether you like to eat from cheap food stalls or an expensive restaurant, you know where you are spending your money. But what if you are sitting in a restaurant to eat but don’t know the price of food.

That’s what exactly happens at a ritzy eatery in Lima, Peru, however, this condition is only applicable to those women who come to eat with men.

According to Fox News, La Rosa Nautica, in Miraflores, gives women a gold menu that doesn’t mention the prices for its expensive dishes, while men get a blue menu that has a price list of everything.

The owners did not respond to a request for comment from The Associated Press and defend their policy, saying it’s allowed women ‘to enjoy a romantic evening with their partner, without bothering about the cost of the services.

Authorities are not satisfied with their beliefs.

The National Institute for the Defence of Free Competition and the Protection of Intellectual Property challenged their policy and also fined the restaurant with $90,000.

According to the agency, women should get the same menu with the price list.

The institute’s Liliana Cerrón said: “These small things may seem harmless. But at the end of the day, they are the basis of a chauvinistic construct reinforcing differences between men and women.”

Equality activists slammed the restaurant’s policy, but the incident that happened at Perth restaurant in Australia was the worst thing.

The pet food meat was found in an Indian restaurant’s kitchen, and the restaurant was charged with a $14,000 fine, reported the Daily Mail.

The owner of Canning Vale’s Cafe Marica, Kopikaran Krishnasamy, denied all the accusations to his restaurant. He said, we never served the pet meat to people.

His claim was unsatisfied as he said, it was not petting meat and only labeled that way to avoid tighter food regulations.

A spokesman for the business said the meat came in the kitchen accidentally because a chef couldn’t read English properly.
