Amid coronavirus lockdown, elderly residents at a care home sent heartwarming messages to their families.

Elderly residents at Burnfoot Hall and Coach House Care Home in Ecclefechan, Dumfriesshire posed with their heartfelt messages to their families and the pictures have now gone viral.

One resident told the family that they are doing well and don’t worry about them while another told they are missing their family so much.

One woman wrote: “To my family, peace at last” while another wrote: “Hope, you are all well. I am being well looked after by staff.”

The heartwarming messages were posted on Burnfoot Hall and Coach House Care Home’s Facebook page.

The caption read: “Today the residents wanted to pass on their well wishes to everyone especially their nearest and dearest.”

Care home bosses said they are taking preventative measures to ensure the safety of all residents and staff.

They have closed down Burnfoot amid coronavirus fears and only medical health professionals are allowed in Burnfoot.

Care home bosses said: “Due to the ongoing coronavirus outbreak internationally Mead Care are taking preventative measures to ensure the safety of all residents and staff by closing Burnfoot to everyone except medical health professionals.”
