A former drug addict has gone viral after sharing stunning before and after photos as he celebrated 745 days of sobriety.
Travis Robinson is a young man from the US who shared pictures of his remarkable transformation after beating his addiction to benzodiazepines and opiates.
As he proudly shared on social media, Robinson just recently celebrated his 745th day of sobriety. “LETS GOOOO!!! Wild I used to look so dead all the f***ing time. I’m finally alive,” he wrote in his post.
Accompanying the text were before and after photos that prove Robinson managed to turn his life around for the better and provide people who find themselves in similar situations with hope of recovery.
As seen in his photos taken more than two years ago, Robinson’s face was pockmarked with his cheekbones protruding and his eyes staring lifelessly at the camera.
In his recent photos, however, Robinson is seen smiling with a new-found glint of hope in his eyes and a healthy, radiant skin to prove he managed to turn his life around.
Soon after sharing his photos on Twitter, Robinson’s story went viral and attracted hundreds of thousands of likes and comments.
Replying to interested minds on Reddit, where his story has also been shared, Robinson explained that he “stayed in rehab for over a year and a half” because he couldn’t trust himself to pull through with the recovery – the “hardest thing” he’s ever done in his life.
As the pictures went viral, Robinson’s story inspired fellow recovering addicts to share their before and after photos and hopefully provided those still in a tight grip of addiction with hope.
