There is no doubt that animals are smart.
Pet owners are usually astounded whenever their furry companions do something wise.
One dog owner went viral for his series of tweets about his guard dog taking ‘bribes’ from a bear. He wrote that his pooch, Brickleberry, was not a good guard dog as he lets a bear check their trash in exchange for deer bones!
He posted on Twitter: “My idiot furry son has one job at night – bork at things and make them go away. Easy, right?
“However, a bear has learned that my furry son can be bought. This is the THIRD TIME He’s been gifted deer bones in exchange for being allowed access to my trash, AND HE KEEPS DOING IT.”
Brickberry can be seen loving the bribe. His owner, Jesse, said he is a “mastiff/hound mutt with some beagle in him, and is the best boy. He is great with kids and apparently bears.” He raised him after his mother passed away only a few days after giving birth to him.
Jesse’s tweet gained more than 30,000 retweets in just one day.
He wrote in another post: “Although I basically handed my dog this position of power, it’s become very clear that he has no idea how to actually do the job properly; now not only do I have to clean up a huge mess, I see him putting his own self-interest first.
“Clearly, I have no choice but to impeach him.”
One Twitter user commented: “This just sounds like you’re not paying him enough. If the bear is offering a better deal, you can’t blame him for taking it. Capitalism.”
