On Tuesday, however, White has allegedly turned herself in and has been taken into custody on suspicion of arson.

According to the police, they believe that the 29-year-old was partially responsible for the burning of a Wendy’s branch on June 13, one day after Rayshard Brooks was fatally shot by Officer Garrett Rolfe who is now facing a felony murder charge.

While the woman’s attorney confirmed that she and Brooks were “very close” in an interview with DailyMail, additional information wasn’t provided out of respect for Tomika Miller, Brooks’ wife and the mother of his children.

After the fatal shooting of Brooks, the 26-year-old widow has spoken out and expressed she feels glad that the cop responsible for killing her husband has been charged.

In an interview with NBC’s Today, Miller said: “I’m glad about the charges but I want to see them go through. No matter how many charges they face, it’s not going to bring him back.

“It’s very emotional. Father’s Day is coming up and all I can keep thinking about is my husband won’t be here. There’s not gonna be a day where I see him walk through the door or laughing with his kids again.”

Atlanta police officers were dispatched to the fast-food restaurant in question on June 12 after receiving complaints about a vehicle blocking the drive-thru lane. Cops found Brooks sleeping in his car but the conversation of over 40 minutes turned violent.

27-year-old Garrett Rolfe, who shot Brooks in the back two times as the arrest turned ugly, was fired from the police department and has been charged with felony murder.
