Every tennis enthusiast was looking forward to the 2019 US and the tennis sensation, Rafael Nadal has defeated Daniil Medvedev and won his 19th Grand Slam.
The epic match lasted five hours where both the players were seen showcasing their skills in the court to win the last major of the year.
Spectators have claimed that the match was extremely gripping, where till the first half Rafael was clearly leading but Medvedev made a comeback after two sets that paved the way for a final set decider.
World’s No. 2 tennis player, Nadal redeemed himself back into the game by showing his warrior spirits throughout the game.
The thrilling match was held in New York, where Rafael had to engage in a gripping yet dramatic match to claim his 19th Major on Sunday by defeating Russian Daniil Medvedev. After winning the glorious Major, Nadal is now just one major behind his tennis rival Roger Federer.
Nadal defeated Medvedev in one of the greatest comebacks in the history of tennis where victory score of Nadal was 7-5, 6-3, 5-7, 4-6, 6-4. Medvedev congratulated Nadal for his victory and added 19 Grand Slam titles are commendable and he feels good to give him great competition.
In his winning speech, Nadal appreciated Daniil for his skills and added there’s no doubt he is No. 4 player in the world. Though, both the players gave each other tough competition during the match, the tennis rivals knew how to congratulate and value each other’s talent and respect the sport.
Both the players had a tough time chasing a winning scoreboard. From being exhausted by the five-hour-long match to missing the breakpoints Nadal and Medvedev gave the utmost contribution of their will and might to win the 2019 US Open.
