Watch the man shooing off the raccoon of his boat

A Clearwater, Florida attorney Thomas Cope shared a video of him trying to get a raccoon off of his boat which fell into the water in Mexico.
The video was shared online and was slammed by Internet users who called it ‘animal cruelty’.
The video shows a raccoon running around the boat hissing and growling while Cope shooing it off of his boat into the water.
He can be heard saying, ‘So long, sucker’ in the video.
Florida agency is now investigating potential animal cruelty charges after Cope tried to get the raccoon off of his boat which fell into the water.
Cope has apologized after he received backlash as he told DailyMail.com: ‘I apologize for my actions on the boat earlier this week. I sincerely wish there was some way I could have safely returned to shore to release the raccoon.’

‘Knowing raccoons can be rabid and unpredictable, the only realistic option we could think of in that moment was to get the raccoon off the boat. I feel bad for the animal and I’m sorry for what I did.’
Internet users slammed the video as one wrote: ‘Disturbing that any human being thinks this is Acceptable – heartless disgusting spineless soulless a**hole is exactly what This man is and I see a poor helpless raccoon that is terrified.’
Another said: ‘That raccoon will drown no doubts about it. You just sent a living animal to its death just because that raccoon accidentally showed up on your f**king boat! That animal is in the middle of nowhere. Hope karma will get ya.’
