These quintuplets graduated from the same college on the same weekend. However, their degrees were not same at all. These siblings went to the same elementary school, middle school, and high school, not just that but they even attended the prom together.

Their parents 55-year-old Jorge, and Enna Diaz couldn’t be more proud of their children as they graduated together last month.

Born within three minutes of each other in July 1996, the siblings lived together and studied together.

The siblings shared many of the core classes, but their majors were as different as they could get. Having majored in Finance, Biology, Spanish, art, and social communication, they graduated on May 10 and 11.

Their father, Jorge, who is from Mexico, was often asked how he would put the five of them in college. But the siblings managed it themselves. They worked in restaurants, took student loans and the financial aid program of the University helped them get through it.

“It was my dream to see them graduating college, I am happy, but multiply this feeling with five times of what parents usually have,” Jorge said.

For the freshman and sophomore years, they lived in adjoining dorms and then moved into an apartment they all shared together. Later, the sisters shared an apartment, and the boys moved to an off-campus residence.

The eldest of the siblings and a biology major, Enna said that having her siblings throughout the college years made the experience easier.

The siblings would see each other every day and stay in touch on the group chat.

George said, “We are used to be together, even if we had different majors, we somehow used to end up in the same classes. It is helpful to have your sibling in your class because you already have a study group created.”

Going to University together was a big change, but their little brother was affected the most by it. The 17-year-old Sebastian had always stayed with his elder siblings, and suddenly they were no longer there.

However, Enna said that he would have enjoyed having their mother to himself.

Their mother wanted the siblings to be more independent while in college, yet she was always available for them whenever they needed her.
