The 58-year-old, who has a net worth of a whopping $120 million, refuses to give financial aid to his mother after she mocked his writing ambitions as a 12-year-old.

He then made a pact at such a young age that he would never share his earnings with his mother, now 75, because of the hurtful remarks she made.

In a podcast interview with The Moment, Quentin recalled the moment his mother sided with his teachers, who reprimanded him for writing screenplays in school.

He said that his mother “was bitching at me about that… and then in the middle of her little tirade, she said, ‘Oh, and by the way, this little ‘writing career,’ with the finger quotes and everything. This little ‘writing career’ that you’re doing? That s**t is over.”

Quentin continued: “When she said that to me in that sarcastic way, I go, ‘OK, lady, when I become a successful writer, you will never see penny one from my success.
