The Queen was spotted driving near the Windsor Castle after it was announced that she would take a two-week break from her duties.
Photos of Her Majesty eased concerns for her wellbeing after she was hospitalized in mid-October.
This comes days after the Buckingham Palace allegedly concealed the fact that the Queen was taken to King Edward VII’s Hospital and officials insisted that Her Majesty was well at Windsor.
The Queen was out driving in her green Jaguar that she uses to take her beloved dogs for a morning walk.
Wearing a headscarf and sunglasses, Her Majesty looked healthy and happy as she left the back entrance of Windsor Castle. Her photos bring relief to millions of people worried about her health.
Since she was forced to miss the COP26 conference in Glasgow, she will instead welcome delegates with a recorded video message with Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall.
On October 20, the Queen spent the night in the hospital.
A Buckingham Palace spokesperson told CNN in a statement: “Following medical advice to rest for a few days, the Queen attended hospital on Wednesday afternoon for some preliminary investigations, returning to Windsor Castle at lunchtime today (Thursday), and remains in good spirits.”
No more details were given on what symptoms or problems led to the hospitalization but the source said that it was “not Covid-related.”
Her Majesty was forced to cancel a trip to Northern Ireland because of the hospitalization.
“Her Majesty is in good spirits and is disappointed that she will no longer be able to visit Northern Ireland, where she had been due to undertake a series of engagements today and tomorrow,” the palace said in a statement.
