The Queen Called For ‘Friendship’ And ‘Unity’ Moments Before Meghan Markle’s Oprah Interview

The Queen has issued a comforting message as she addressed the nation amid Meghan Markle’s bitter row with the Royal Family.

Just moments before Meghan brought up bold allegations in an interview with Oprah, Her Majesty marked Commonwealth Day with a speech highlighting the spirit of unity and the benefits of working together.

“The testing times experienced by so many have led to a deeper appreciation of the mutual support and spiritual sustenance we enjoy by being connected to others,” the Head of the Commonwealth said.

After acknowledging that the technology behind online meetings and gatherings is new to some people, the Queen praised communication resources that help us stay connected without endangering our health during these hard times.

“Increasingly, we have found ourselves able to enjoy such communication as it offers an immediacy that transcends boundaries or division, helping any sense of distance to disappear,” the 94-year-old monarch added.

“We have all continued to appreciate the support, breadth of experiences and knowledge that working together brings.”

“Whilst experiences of the last year have been different across the Commonwealth, stirring examples of courage, commitment, and selfless dedication to duty have been demonstrated in every Commonwealth nation and territory, notably by those working on the frontline, who have been delivering health care and other public services in their communities,” she expressed.point 318 | 1

The Queen’s speech came just hours before Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s bombshell interview with Oprah aired on CBS.

Despite getting accused of being disrespectful for standing up to the Royal Family, the couple blasted their life in the UK as they insisted that the British media was against them and that the family didn’t support them.

Among other allegations, Meghan went on to accused Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, of making her cry before her wedding. She also said she was naïve before she married Harry because she didn’t know what to expect from the Royal Family.

According to Meghan, unnamed member(s) of the “institution” – aka the Royal Family – brought up concerns regarding her child’s skin tone when she was still pregnant. As the actress claimed, the Royal Family was worried her son would be too brown because she is mixed-race.

During the interview, Meghan also insisted she couldn’t get a break from her royal duties despite feeling suicidal amid her first pregnancy. Meanwhile, her husband, Harry, insisted his family should have done more to support his wife.
