The Queen, Prince Charles, and Prince William and Kate Middleton have all wished Meghan Markle a happy 40th birthday.
Run by the Queen’s Buckingham Palace staff, the Royal Family Instagram account was the first to post photos of Meghan on Twitter and Instagram along with the heartwarming message: “Wishing the Duchess of Sussex a very happy birthday today!”
Minutes later, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall posted their own birthday wishes for Meghan.
People praised the ‘dignified’ and ‘gracious’ decision to share posts on social media despite Meghan and Harry’s recent criticism of the Royal Family in a string of podcast and TV interviews.
This comes only weeks after the announcement that the Duke of Sussex is writing a memoir to be released in 2021.
Prince Harry’s book is described as a ‘definitive account of the experiences, adventures, losses, and life lessons that have helped shape him.’
His family are said to have been blindsided by the bombshell announcement.
A spokesperson said at the time that Prince Harry did not feel he needed permission from the Buckingham Palace to write the tell-all memoir.
Speaking to BBC, the representative said that the Duke of Sussex wouldn’t be expected to get permission from Buckingham Palace for his project.
Meghan and Harry’s ‘truth bombing’ started in March with their explosive Oprah interview where they accused the Royal Family of ignoring cries for help from pregnant and suicidal Meghan and racism towards son Archie.
The Sussex claimed this would be their ‘final word’ on their Megxit. However, they continued talking about it.
Royals are now waiting for Prince Harry’s book, which will be released during the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee next year.
