Ms. Wang who purchased a fox-like dog breed, Japanese spitz, at £140 said her dog stopped eating dog food and began to grow a long, fluffy tail after three months. She noticed that her dog had never barked once. ‘The fur got thicker when it reached three months old. Its face became pointy and its tail grew longer than that of a normal dog and other pet dogs seemed to be scared by my pet soIi walked it with a leash,’  She said.

She went Taiyuan Zoo with her pet to seek an advice from experts. An expert in animal epidemic prevention,  Sun Letian, confirmed that it is actually a fox, not a dog.  Mr. Sun said: ‘Based on the size, it is a domesticated fox. It carries a smell in their body and the smell can get stronger as it grows older.’

After knowing that her pet is a fox, she decided to send her pet to the zoo to get appropriate nourishment and a superior living environment. Mr. Sun said the fox will put in a quarantine zone for a month as workers convey health check on the animal. Mr. Sun told Ms. Wang: ‘If you miss it, come by and have a visit.’
