A puppy, who was born with his front paws upside down, will get a second chance at life.
Milo the puppy was surrendered to Oliver & Friends Farm Rescue and Sanctuary in Luther, Oklahoma by his breeder when he was just five weeks old.
The reason was his upside down paws which made it impossible for him to walk.
“He’s loud, and he’s opinionated but he’s also so sweet and cuddly. He’s just a great little puppy” rescue worker Jennie Hays told WGN-TV.

Hays, who wanted to help Milo, contacted Dr.point 184 | Erik Clary – an associate professor of small animal surgery at Oklahoma State University’s Veterinary Medical Hospital.point 295 | 1
“We evaluated Milo with our state-of-the-art CT scanner and identified his problem to be congenital dislocation of both elbows,” Dr. Clary said.
“With both elbows out of joint, Milo was unable to walk,. Try as he may, the best he could do was an inefficient and seemingly uncomfortable ‘army crawl.’”
“It is very unusual, but also very debilitating. So when we do see it, something needs to be done.”
Thanks to the surgery, Milo can now live a normal life. Though Milo is still not fully recovered, Dr. Clary is confident he will learn to walk slowly.
“Milo’s a sweet and resilient dog. He quickly developed a real following in the hospital” Clary said.
Hays is happy that now Milo will live a normal life like any other dog and he will learn to walk as he is a brave dog.
