A stray puppy cried in pain over the body of his furry friend who got hit by a car.
The heartbroken pup refused to leave its side.
The video of the stray puppy was seen more than 5 million times online. It shows the white puppy standing over its lifeless buddy, who had been hit by a vehicle in the county of Daying, Suining City in China.
It was Mr. Xiong who found the puppy and helped it out. He was stunned by its strong refusal to leave its lifeless companion.
The puppy appeared to be looking into the camera and begging for help – and it is breaking the hearts of people.
“One was already dead, and the other was weak and dying,” Mr. Xiong expressed. “Its cries sounded really devastated.”
He had to leave the dead pooch behind but took up the crying puppy.
“I wrapped it in a piece of clothing and took it back,” Mr. Xiong said. He brought the surviving dog to his workplace where his coworkers fed the weak pooch.
Then, they took the dog to a local animal shelter as Mr. Xiong couldn’t keep the dog himself.
“I hope some kind-hearted person will adopt it,” he expressed.
One internet user commented: “This story, and the accompanying photographs lend credence to the term “puppy love”. The mutual affection shown by many puppies and adult dogs towards both their canine and human friends can’t be explained in just a few words, and has to be seen to be believed.”
Another wrote: “Omg… how heartbreaking is this … unconditional love from mans best friend .. hope you find a good home little one …”
