People have slammed Puma after the multinational footwear giant released sneakers that apparently resemble the Nazi leader Adolf Hitler.
Speaking of Puma Storm Adrenaline sneakers, people have quickly shared photos comparing the footwear, in particular the black patches, to Hitler’s hair and mustache.
“Whoever designed these made a huge mistake without even realizing… up until now,” someone suggested.
“I never noticed. I used the shoe twice and never realized it until now. I have gotten rid of it. I’ve already sold it,” another one added.
“The first thing that came to my mind when I looked at the shoes was Hitler’s face. I know this wasn’t intended but it’s a big no for me,” someone said.
After the sneakers went viral, people went on to create memes by superimposing the Nazi leader’s face on sneakers. Some were also quick to share other things that reminded them of Hitler.
While some people find an uncanny resemblance to figures and characters in the most unusual things, others do their best to look like someone they know.
Speaking of impersonators, a young girl has stolen the spotlight as she dressed in her favorite character, Miss Trunchbull from Matilda, for World Book Day.
While most kids her age want to dress up in cute and adorable characters, 7-year-old UK-based Lilly surprised her mum Laura as she took to St. Marychurch Primary School in Ms. Trunchbull’s costume.
Perfectly representing the Roald Dahl’s fictional headmistress, Lilly donned the 1972 Olympics hoodie complemented with a brown handbag, a net bag full of shot puts, and a weight belt.
“Matilda is Lilly’s favorite book and one of her favorite films. She wanted to go as Miss Trunchbull – I asked her why not Matilda and she said it was too easy!” the 7-year-old’s proud mother said.
“It was very easy to put together, almost all of it was ordered from eBay and I got the hoodie printed locally. It’s fantastic because a lot of the items can be reused for everyday use – the belt is her step dad’s!
“She was bursting at it all when the whole look came together, she couldn’t wait to go to school! She gets such a buzz from dressing up and everyone knew exactly who she was straight away!”
