High School Student Recreated Her Cheap Prom Dress To Look Like A Princess Gown

Nazmayde Castillo is a high school student from Birmingham, Alabama and she was looking for a dress for her prom.

She had found the dress as well but she didn’t feel that it was complete; she quickly found the missing part with the help of MJ Johnson, her boyfriend and completed the dress. The result was liked more than 75,000 times on Instagram.

MJ is popular on Instagram because of his imaginative recreation of looks of popular stars.point 96 | So when he shared photos of himself and his girlfriend, the pictures quickly gained popularity.point 177 | His girlfriend had recreated the dress she bought only for $50 and made it look like a gown.point 252 |

She had attached cobalt blur roses on the bottom part of the dress.point 55 | 1

In the photos, her boyfriend complemented her by wearing a cobalt blue suit.

There were many requests on Instagram asking where they found the dress, MJ revealed that Original dress was selected from Fashion Nova and it was worth $50.

MJ wrote on Instagram that, “it was her thought to put in the flowers on the bottom part of the dress; I just selected it on @fashionnova. We both are innovative; it just took one dress and a few flowers.”
On Instagram he also added the picture of the original dress; it was a figure-hugging mini dress.

Nazmayde along with the help of her aunt added the bottom part to it. It is actually very difficult to tell that the dress is a DIY job.

MJ told Teen Vogue that the gown was completed in two days because so many flowers were sewn together. Nazmayde finished the dress with a touch of blue-glitter.
