Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams revealed on the Channel 5 documentary Charles and Camilla: King and Queen in Waiting that Charles was wearing cuff links with the C and C that means Charles and Camilla while he was with his new wife on their honeymoon.point 321 | 1
This left Princess Diana heartbroken.
The royal commentator also said that Prince Charles and Princess Diana had nothing in common.
Richard Fitzwilliams said: “Almost unbelievably Charles wore cuff links with the C and C, meaning Charles and Camilla.”
“They didn’t have anything in common, they didn’t seem able to talk to each other.”
It wasn’t the first time Princess Diana learned about Charles’ feelings towards Camilla.
Just a few days before their wedding, Diana found a package that had a bracelet in Charles’s private secretary Michael Colborne’s office.
When she asked to see the package, she was left heartbroken as the bracelet had letters G and F.
G and F mean Gladys and Fred which were the nicknames for Charles and Camilla.
Biographer Christopher Wilson said on the Channel 5 documentary, Charles and Di: The Truth Behind their Wedding: “I think she was very suspicious of anything Camilla.”
“She asked to see what was inside and eventually she was allowed to have her way. She was absolutely in tears, in a terrible state about it. It was clear that this was Prince Charles’ farewell present to Camilla.”
Diana also found a bunch of flowers with the same initials weeks before her wedding to Prince Charles.
Prince Charles and Camilla dated before Charles and Diana met. They broke up when Prince Charles joined the military.
Even after his marriage to Princess Diana, Prince Charles and Camilla continued their relationship.
