Prince William shared an adorable moment with a five-year-old survivor of the Christchurch mosques terrorist attacks during his two-day solo visit to New Zealand.
The Duke of Cambridge is on a two-day solo visit to New Zealand and hours after attending an Anzac Day ceremony in Auckland he met youngster Alen Alsati and spoke to her.
Alen is recovering in Starship Children’s Hospital in Auckland. The little girl was in a coma and woke earlier this week after suffering critical injuries in the attack on two of Christchurch’s mosques last month.
Alen was in a hospital bed and Prince William was sitting by her side. The girl asked the royal whether he had a daughter, to which he said: ‘’Yes, she’s called Charlotte. She’s about the same age as you.’’
Prior, the Prince landed in Christchurch to meet with the crisis staff who worked through the outcome of the slaughter on March 15.
Talking at the city’s Justice and Emergency Services Precinct, which went about as a base of activities for a great part of the crisis work after the dread assault, he said thanks to specialists on call and revealed to them they ‘completed an extraordinary activity on an exceptionally awful day.’
He was sped through the South Island city in a police motorcade, helicopters hovering overhead, in the wake of contracting down on Thursday evening, joined by Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern as he got off his plane.
High security and a calm methodology by coordinators implied a bunch of imperial watchers assembled at the airplane terminal and along avenues would get no opportunity to discover a look amid the entry.

William started his two-day visit to New Zealand on Thursday morning by offering his regards to Australian and New Zealand officers with a wreath-laying at an Anzac service at Auckland’s War Memorial Museum.
He welcomed Prime Minister Ardern with a customary Maori contact of the noses called a hongi, and a huge number of New Zealanders offering their regards.
The March 15 dread assault has lingered over the current year’s recognition in New Zealand.
Many outfitted cops stood to protect amid the songs and addresses, trucks and transports blocked streets around the site and posts kept watching from the exhibition hall’s rooftop.
Various different occasions were dropped or united in front of the day, in the midst of waiting for security fears.
